Our usual pin buckle comes as an XL version with elegantly rounded edges and is a handy feature and shimmering eye-catcher at the same time. It adorns the comfortably adjustable strap which runs across the front of the foot.
The Madrid Big Buckle wouldn't be a true BIRKENSTOCK shoe if it didn't also feature the proper inner values. The patented cork-latex footbed with its shock-absorbing properties features a colour-coordinated lining made from genuine leather. It was inspired by a natural footprint in sand and encloses the foot almost like a closed-toe shoe. Long hours on your feet or long distances will be a walk in the park with the BIRKENSTOCK Madrid Big Buckle.

The soft synthetic leather is called Birko-Flor® and it imitates the properties and comfort of nubuck leather in a way so that you can hardly spot any differences. The Madrid Big Buckle is not the only model available as a Birko-Flor® version – other models featuring a Birko-Flor® upper are the Arizona Big Buckle and the Siena Big Buckle.
