Accessibility Commitment
Birkenstock Europe is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including people with disabilities. We are continuously working to improve the user experience and ensure that our digital services are usable by everyone.
Our website is currently largely compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. While many areas of our website meet accessibility standards, some sections do not yet fully comply. We are actively working to resolve these issues and reach full compliance.
Non-Compliant Areas
Despite our ongoing efforts, the following areas of our website and digital services are not yet fully accessible:
- Screen Reader Compatibility: Not all interface elements are currently labeled in a way that makes them accessible to screen readers or auditory tools.
- Image Alt Text: Some images may lack fully descriptive alt texts.
These limitations are known and actively being addressed.
Accessibility Measures
To improve accessibility, Birkenstock Europe has taken the following steps:
- Accessibility Audits: We conducted comprehensive audits of our website design and builds with our Accessibility partners based on WCAG 2.2 Level AA standards.
- Ongoing Monitoring: We have integrated both automated testing tools and manual audits to ensure compliance is maintained continuously.
