The Skykomish is a brand-new silhouette designed for this collaborative endeavor with its own unique combinations of ease and durability. It is a rustic yet utilitarian-style boot with a Filson tin cloth upper and a textured rubber mudguard, perfectly suited for city-park promenades.
- Upper: Filson oil tin cloth in a rustic utilitarian look. Duck-toe vamp in oiled nubuck leather and a texturized rubber mudguard
- Footbed: BIRKENSTOCK Deep Blue Footbed
- Sole: Cleated rubber outsole
- Branding: Oiled nubuck leather patch with BIRKENSTOCK “foot logo”
- Packaging: Co-branded kraft paper box, large brown co-branded dustbag in Filson design, special tissue paper with a map print (from Alaska / Klondike / Yukon region from 1897)

Insole: Microfibre
Microfibre is a skin-friendly material which is soft and yet tear-resistant. Because they are free of animal products they are used as the covering material for the lining of footbeds in vegan products, among other things.
Footbed material: Polyurethane
Polyurethane (PU) is a flexible, water- and dirt-repellent synthetic material which makes footwear easy to care for.
Outsole: Rubber
Because of its high elasticity rubber is very well suited for outsoles. Thanks to this property it supports the natural rolling motion of the foot. Rubber is also very robust and has good cushioning.
