Elegante Sandale
"Eine Sandale, die zu jeder Kleider-Hosenform passt, gut aussieht und dazu eine sehr gute Unterstützung für die Füsse darstellt!"
Perfect fit
"Comfortable sandals bought to replace an old pair. I would have preferred a darker top as they may stay looking clean for longer but these are a beautiful colour for the summer."
Super comfortable soft footbed gizel.
"I love the softened Gizel, but they can be difficult to get hold of, so I have bought these for next summer. So comfy & supportive."
Perfekt
"Nach 6 Jahren musste ich meinen alten Gizeh Soft Footbed verabschieden, er war doch zu durchgelaufen. Der neue passt mir wieder genau so gut wie der alte (trage 41 in Winterschuhen, 40 in Sandalen). Auf weitere 6 Jahre! Dafür ist der Preis in Ordnung für mich."

- Footbed lining: suede
- Sole: EVA

Item no. 1018999/1019014
Upper material: Nubuck leather
Nubuck leather is the result of a gentle buffing of the top-grain layer of the hide. It is soft to the touch and develops a beautiful patina over time.
Insole: Natural leather
Natural leather can be recognized by its untreated surface. BIRKENSTOCK purposely does not treat surface grains and other characteristic features. BIRKENSTOCK uses sturdy leather with a thickness of 2.8 to 3.2 millimeters as upper material.
Footbed material: Cork
Cork is a sustainable material extracted from the bark layer of the cork oak. This natural product is insulating and offers very good cushioning.
Outsole: EVA
EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) is a high-quality, very light, elastic material with extremely good cushioning. As a result, it smooths out slight irregularities in the floor and ensures that every step is softly cushioned.

Gizeh Soft Footbed
The Original Birkenstock Footbed
The heart of all models is the original BIRKENSTOCK footbed. The construction, which has been thought out to the smallest detail and makes it feel like you're standing in sand, helps your feet feel as comfortable as possible for hours on end. This supports health and promotes wellbeing.
The very deep molding in the heel area supports the foot tissue and holds the heel bone firmly in its natural position. This provides the foot with nearly as much support when it is in a sandal as when it is in a closed shoe.
Activates the calf muscles, stabilises the back of the foot and improves gait and coordination.
The arch supports that run alongside the sides of the footbed surround the tarsal bones inside and out. This gives the foot the stability it needs when it takes a step.
The support that runs through the middle of the footbed stabilizes the metatarsal bone. In this way, the transverse arch support helps ensure that the foot has a naturally straight and solid stance.
There are raised indentations at the front of the footbed near the toes. Thanks to the toe grip the toes remain loose and spread out in their natural position. The indentations also support the natural rolling motion of the toes.
The footbed is drawn up especially high at the front. As a result, the high footbed edge protects the toes during the rolling motion of the foot.
