"The slippers looked lovely and as expected were very well made, they had a very rubbery smell which I assume would wear off. The sole and length of the shoe was perfect but the felt top is way to small and tight so I couldn’t get my foot to the end of the sole properly. If I ordered a bigger size I’m sure the problem would still be the same"
Oh so comfortable house slippers
"These are my second pair of Birkenstocks. It took a while to get used to the first pair but after that the second pair were comfortable straight away. I have pain in my left foot from plantar fasciitis and this is especially bad when I put my foot to the floor when getting out of bed in the morning. I bought these Zermatt felt house slippers specifically for this reason and they have not disappointed. They are so comfortable from the moment I put my feet into them. I bought the standard footbed as we aren’t quite into the colder weather but have now ordered another pair in a different colour with the shearling footbed for the colder months. They are very well made and look great. I will continue to wear them around the house for the arch support when the plantar fasciitis is better and to help to prevent a reoccurrence."

"The slippers were fine. Similar quality to previous pair I have bought. Unfortunately I learnt that the brand is no longer family owned. It has been bought out by private equity. This explains the rise in prices and crazy range in styles suddenly introduced which dilutes the quality and individuality of Birkenstock. I will no longer be buying them."
Excellent quality, weird sizing
"Excellent quality. I would prefer more flexibility but the felt material makes them very comfortable. The size guide is very necessary as my Birkenstock size turned out to be a whole two sizes smaller than my normal European sizing of 39. I've never before been 37 in my life and couldn't believe they would fit but they do, pretty exactly but if they were leather this Birkenstock sizing might be a bit snug for my arthritic bumps. Although I ordered the sand colour I like the dark blue that arrived so I'll keep them."

"C'est la troisieme ou quatrieme paire que j'achete. Les portant tous les jours l'hiver, le dessus finit par s'user et la semelle aussi. La semelle intérieure interchangeable est une super idée. Pourquoi ne pas faire la même chose pour les Boston?"

Le lit de pied BIRKENSTOCK
La pièce maîtresse de tous les modèles est le lit de pied BIRKENSTOCK d'origine. La conception pensée jusque dans les moindres détails, inspirée de la trace de pas naturelle laissée par un pied sur le sable, contribue à ce que les pieds puissent passer des heures dans les chaussures sans occasionner aucune gêne. Le tout favorise une bonne santé et procure une sensation encore plus confortable.
La forme particulièrement basse du talon soutient les tissus du pied et stabilise le calcanéus (os principal du talon) dans sa position naturelle. Dans la sandale, le pied reste alors maintenu dans une position proche de celle qu’il aurait dans une chaussure fermée avec semelle en liège/latex.
Il stimule le muscle du mollet, stabilise l’arrière-pied et améliore la marche et la coordination.
Les arches latérales qui longent les bords du lit de pied cernent l’intérieur et l’extérieur du tarse. Lors de la marche, elles garantissent la stabilité requise par le pied.
La barre qui traverse le lit de pied en son centre stabilise les métatarsiens. De cette manière, le support de l'arche transversale de la voûte plantaire favorise le maintien du pied dans une position droite, naturelle et stable.
L’avant du lit de pied, au niveau des orteils, est muni de surélévations intermédiaires. Grâce aux barres de positionnement des orteils, ces derniers restent confortablement en éventail, dans leur position naturelle. Les parties surélevées favorisent en outre le déroulement naturel des orteils.
À l’avant, le lit de pied est particulièrement tiré vers le haut. Les bords hauts protègent les orteils lors du déroulement du pied.
