Membership Terms & Conditions
My Birkenstock Membership – Terms & Conditions
1. General Membership Rules
The My Birkenstock membership programme (“Membership”) is offered by Birkenstock Europe GmbH and is intended for private individuals aged 16 years or older. If you are under 18 years of age, participation in the Membership requires the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
By registering for and participating in the Membership, you confirm that you meet these eligibility requirements.
Only one Membership per person and per email address is permitted. Creating or maintaining multiple memberships using different email addresses is not allowed. Birkenstock reserves the right to terminate memberships created in violation of this rule.
Membership is personal and non-transferable. Membership benefits may only be used by the registered member and may not be shared with or transferred to any third party.
To join the Membership, you must complete the registration process via the registration form available on Birkenstock.com.
You are responsible for ensuring that the contact details you provide (including your email address) are accurate and kept up to date. Birkenstock may refuse or cancel a membership if the eligibility requirements are not met.
Membership participation is subject to these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”), which may be amended from time to time in accordance with Section 7.
2. Countries and Channels of Validity
The Membership is primarily a digital programme and is valid on the Birkenstock online shop in participating countries.
Selected Membership benefits may also be available in participating Birkenstock retail stores in certain countries. Participation of physical stores and the availability of in-store benefits may vary and can be found on the Birkenstock website or communicated through Membership channels.
3. Membership Benefits
Members may receive access to exclusive benefits, which may include, by way of example:
- Member-exclusive products
- Early access to sales or product launches
- Birthday surprise (once per calendar year)
- Early notifications (e.g. back-in-stock alerts)
- Invitations to selected events
The above list is non-exhaustive and provided for illustrative purposes only. Benefits may vary by country, channel (online or selected stores), availability, and individual member eligibility.
Membership benefits apply only from the date of successful registration. Purchases or activities made prior to registration are not eligible for retroactive benefits.
Birkenstock reserves the right to change, replace, limit, or discontinue individual benefits for valid business, legal, or operational reasons, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
4. Use of Membership
Your Membership is for private, non-commercial use only.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your login credentials and for all activities carried out through your account. You must not allow third parties to access or use your Membership.
The Membership may not be used in any unlawful manner, for commercial purposes, or in a way that disrupts or damages Birkenstock systems, services, or reputation.
You may not sell, exchange, transfer, or otherwise commercialise your Membership or any associated benefits.
5. Cancelling Your Membership
You may cancel your Membership at any time, free of charge, by managing your Membership settings via My Profile on Birkenstock.com.
Upon cancellation, all Membership benefits will be immediately forfeited. If you rejoin at a later date, previously earned or unused benefits will not carry over.
Cancellation of the Membership does not automatically cancel separate marketing consents unless stated otherwise; however, you will no longer receive Membership-related communications unless you re-register.
Repeatedly cancelling and rejoining the Membership within a short period (e.g. within 12 months) for the purpose of repeatedly obtaining benefits is not permitted. Birkenstock reserves the right to refuse or terminate Membership in such cases.
6. Termination by Birkenstock and Programme Changes
Birkenstock may terminate your Membership with immediate effect if you:
- do not meet or no longer meet the eligibility requirements;
- materially breach these Terms or applicable laws;
- misuse the Membership or its benefits;
- provide false, misleading, or incomplete information; or
- where termination is required for valid legal or business reasons.
In the event of termination, all Membership benefits will lapse. Where required by applicable law, Birkenstock will inform you in advance or provide appropriate notice.
Birkenstock may revoke benefits that were granted due to error, fraud, misuse, or breach of these Terms.
Birkenstock reserves the right to amend these Terms or modify the Membership programme, including its structure or benefits, for valid reasons such as legal, regulatory, technical, or operational changes. If changes materially affect your rights, you will be informed in advance where required by law and may cancel your Membership in accordance with Section 5.
Birkenstock may discontinue the Membership programme entirely, subject to applicable legal requirements and notice obligations.
7. Data Protection
Personal data collected in connection with the Membership will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws and the Birkenstock Privacy Notice.
Birkenstock Europe GmbH is responsible for the processing of personal data relating to the Membership. Data may be processed by Birkenstock or by service providers acting on its behalf, for the purposes described in the Privacy Notice.
Further information on how your personal data is processed and how to exercise your data protection rights can be found in the Privacy Notice available on the Birkenstock website.

8.1 To the extent permitted by applicable laws, if we fail to comply with these Terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a direct result of our breach of these Terms, our willful misconduct or our gross negligence, but we are not responsible for any loss or damage that is not directly related.
8.2 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for:
fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, intent or gross negligence by us in relation to Birkenstock Premium; or
any matter in respect of which it would be unlawful for us to exclude or restrict our liability, such as death or personal injury to the extent cause by our negligence.
8.3 To the extent permitted by law, and notwithstanding clause 9.2, our aggregate liability to you in respect of any loss or damage suffered and arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall not exceed the amount of EUR 100, or the amount of any foreseeable damage that is typical for this type of contract, whichever is higher.
8.4 Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability, so some of the foregoing limitations of liability may not apply to you. In particular, the above limitations or exclusions do not affect your statutory consumer rights in your applicable jurisdiction.
