"Einfach schön! Ich hatte am Anfang 41 Größe und normale Breite, weil ich 42 Größe für die Schuhe trage, und gelesen habe dass die birkis zu groß ausfallen. Die Größe war richtig, aber die Breite nicht so habe ich sie zurück geschickt und 41 schmal bestellt. Es hat alles super geklappt."

They’re comfortable, the soft footbed feels lovely, and the adjustable straps make it easy to get a good fit. They also feel well made, so I’m hoping they’ll last a long time. Definitely worth it if you’re after a pair of comfy, everyday sandals!"

"Ich trage schon seit Jahren Arizona von Birkenstock! Jetzt habe ich mir zum ersten Mal Leder gekauft. Sie sehen toll aus! Leider ist die Weichbettung nicht mehr so schön weich, wie früher. Wenn Birkenstock das wieder ändern würde, würde ich auch die volle Punktzahl in allen Bereichen vergeben. Trotzdem trage ich sie gerne!"

"J’avais toujours entendu parlé du confort des produits de cette marque. J’ai voulu essayer et je dois avouer que cette sandale me convient parfaitement. Le confort et l’assise du pied sont bien réels. C’est un plaisir quotidien que de les porter et je suis très satisfait de mon achat. Peut être un légèrement trop grande en taille mais la largeur est parfaite. Je suis maintenant tenté par l’achat d’une paire de sabot. À suivre. Livraison très rapide et site d’achat très bien fait."

"My first time buying Birkenstock and the product lives up to expectation. But dont pay for fast shipping as by their own admission they only ship at one speed. My order was late arriving so I emailed support who said there's only one speed. When I sent a screenshot of the order page showing I'd paid extra for fast shipping they said everything ships at the same speed. Sure enough my order arrived as if I'd paid the lower amount."

Oiled leather is one of our favourite types of leather. Its oily waxed surface makes for a unique colour effect and develops a beautiful patina. The oily finish of our natural leather products results in colour variation, making each and every pair unique.
Insole: Natural leather
Natural leather can be recognized by its untreated surface. BIRKENSTOCK purposely does not treat surface grains and other characteristic features. BIRKENSTOCK uses sturdy leather with a thickness of 2.8 to 3.2 millimeters as upper material.
Footbed material: Cork
Cork is a sustainable material extracted from the bark layer of the cork oak. This natural product is insulating and offers very good cushioning.
Outsole: EVA
EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) is a high-quality, very light, elastic material with extremely good cushioning. As a result, it smooths out slight irregularities in the floor and ensures that every step is softly cushioned.

The Original Birkenstock Footbed
The heart of all models is the original BIRKENSTOCK footbed. The construction, which has been thought out to the smallest detail and makes it feel like you're standing in sand, helps your feet feel as comfortable as possible for hours on end. This supports health and promotes wellbeing.
The very deep molding in the heel area supports the foot tissue and holds the heel bone firmly in its natural position. This provides the foot with nearly as much support when it is in a sandal as when it is in a closed shoe.
Activates the calf muscles, stabilises the back of the foot and improves gait and coordination.
The arch supports that run alongside the sides of the footbed surround the tarsal bones inside and out. This gives the foot the stability it needs when it takes a step.
The support that runs through the middle of the footbed stabilizes the metatarsal bone. In this way, the transverse arch support helps ensure that the foot has a naturally straight and solid stance.
There are raised indentations at the front of the footbed near the toes. Thanks to the toe grip the toes remain loose and spread out in their natural position. The indentations also support the natural rolling motion of the toes.
The footbed is drawn up especially high at the front. As a result, the high footbed edge protects the toes during the rolling motion of the foot.
