Après plusieurs commandes et retours en raison notamment de problèmes de coloris, je reçois enfin la couleur Mink commandée… mais cette fois une paire dans un état indigne d’un produit vendu neuf : cuir marqué, brides abîmées et marquage intérieur tellement effacé sur une chaussure que la référence est quasiment illisible. À 135€ la paire, et en commandant directement auprès de Birkenstock, c’est incompréhensible. Le service client n’a par ailleurs jamais réellement reconnu les problèmes rencontrés, allant jusqu’à attribuer les différences de coloris précédemment signalées à « l’éclairage » des photos. Après autant de commandes et de retours, je renonce définitivement à commander sur leur site. Très grosse déception pour une enseigne de cette réputation."

"The shoes are a perfect fit. I would not have described my feet as narrow but I ordered narrow as I got a pair last year and they were 1cm longer and wider than these - very uncomfortable to wear."

"Je les ai acheté en version pied lit de souple pour éviter de souffrir ayant une malformation congénitale bilatérale aux hanches. Le lit de pied classique est trop raide pour moi. Ce sera bien de penser à faire plusieurs couleurs le choix est limité pour ce type de lit de pied (souple)"

Upper material: Nubuck leather
Nubuck leather is the result of a gentle buffing of the top-grain layer of the hide. It is soft to the touch and develops a beautiful patina over time.
Insole: Natural leather
Natural leather can be recognized by its untreated surface. BIRKENSTOCK purposely does not treat surface grains and other characteristic features. BIRKENSTOCK uses sturdy leather with a thickness of 2.8 to 3.2 millimeters as upper material.
Footbed material: Cork
Cork is a sustainable material extracted from the bark layer of the cork oak. This natural product is insulating and offers very good cushioning.
Outsole: EVA
EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) is a high-quality, very light, elastic material with extremely good cushioning. As a result, it smooths out slight irregularities in the floor and ensures that every step is softly cushioned.

Arizona Soft Footbed
The Original Birkenstock Footbed
The heart of all models is the original BIRKENSTOCK footbed. The construction, which has been thought out to the smallest detail and makes it feel like you're standing in sand, helps your feet feel as comfortable as possible for hours on end. This supports health and promotes wellbeing.
The very deep molding in the heel area supports the foot tissue and holds the heel bone firmly in its natural position. This provides the foot with nearly as much support when it is in a sandal as when it is in a closed shoe.
Activates the calf muscles, stabilises the back of the foot and improves gait and coordination.
The arch supports that run alongside the sides of the footbed surround the tarsal bones inside and out. This gives the foot the stability it needs when it takes a step.
The support that runs through the middle of the footbed stabilizes the metatarsal bone. In this way, the transverse arch support helps ensure that the foot has a naturally straight and solid stance.
There are raised indentations at the front of the footbed near the toes. Thanks to the toe grip the toes remain loose and spread out in their natural position. The indentations also support the natural rolling motion of the toes.
The footbed is drawn up especially high at the front. As a result, the high footbed edge protects the toes during the rolling motion of the foot.
