The BIRKENSTOCK Lutry is a slipper that can be worn as a backstrap style or as an open clog thanks to the flexible ankle strap. The footbed can be removed, for you to choose between three different footbed versions. Here, this classic model comes in an especially cozy version with a “Happy Lamb” lining. Instead of shearling, it is made from new wool.
The upper is made from Birkiwool – a material specially developed for BIRKENSTOCK which consists of high-quality nubuck leather with a soft wool lining.

Nubuck leather is the result of a gentle buffing of the top-grain layer of the hide. It is soft to the touch and develops a beautiful patina over time.
Insole: Wool
Wool is one of the oldest textile materials in the world and has many unique properties, such as breathability, warmth and a low dirt-absorption capacity.
Footbed material: Cork
Cork is a sustainable material extracted from the bark layer of the cork oak. This natural product is insulating and offers very good cushioning.
Outsole: Rubber
Because of its high elasticity rubber is very well suited for outsoles. Thanks to this property it supports the natural rolling motion of the foot. Rubber is also very robust and has good cushioning.
