"Sehr zufrieden mit Optik und Verarbeitung (was in den ersten Tagen berichtet werden kann, jedoch können über die Langlebigkeit noch keine Aussagen getroffen werden). Bestellt habe ich Größe 40, regulär trage ich EU 42, bei italienischen Größen sogar die 43. Bei einer Bestellung würde ich die Größenberechnung mit Hilfe der Birkenstock-Tabellen durchführen. Aufgrund der für mich optimalen Sohle (bessere Haftung, Vibram ?), kann ich die Sandale empfehlen."

Qualität usw alles super aber was Schade ist und ich nicht akzeptieren kann das die schnallen bzw die Riemen wieder unterschiedlich lang waren, bei gleicher Größe. (meine letzten 2 Schuhe waren wie Ausschuss oder B Modelle und teils getragen also leicht gebraucht auch) Hoffe dass ändert sich wieder, trage euch eigentlich gerne. No Quality Control
"One sandal was fine but the other was dry and a different colour. When reported to Birkenstock I was told to oil the dry one. Accept that maintenance is a thing with these sandals (as all shoes really) but do not expect them to be like this out of the box from brand new. Returned and still waiting for the refund. Nervous of buying online with Birkenstock again."

"Ein Hochgenuss in Punkto Verarbeitung und Materialauswahl . Etwas erstaunt war ich über das Gewicht das aber wohl der versprochenen langen Haltbarkeit der Sohle geschuldet ist und deshalb auch leicht zu ertragen ist . 🤗 Man kann sich beim deutschen Hersteller auch gleich mal auf deutsche Schuhgrößen einstellen , heißt wer früher Größe 43 hatte hat sie jetzt wieder. 😉 Beim nächsten Mal wird es wieder Birkenstock . Oiled leather is one of our favourite types of leather. Its oily waxed surface makes for a unique colour effect and develops a beautiful patina. The oily finish of our natural leather products results in colour variation, making each and every pair unique.
Insole: Natural leather
Natural leather can be recognized by its untreated surface. BIRKENSTOCK purposely does not treat surface grains and other characteristic features. BIRKENSTOCK uses sturdy leather with a thickness of 2.8 to 3.2 millimeters as upper material.
Footbed material: Cork
Cork is a sustainable material extracted from the bark layer of the cork oak. This natural product is insulating and offers very good cushioning.

The Original Birkenstock Footbed
The heart of all models is the original BIRKENSTOCK footbed. The construction, which has been thought out to the smallest detail and makes it feel like you're standing in sand, helps your feet feel as comfortable as possible for hours on end. This supports health and promotes wellbeing.
The very deep molding in the heel area supports the foot tissue and holds the heel bone firmly in its natural position. This provides the foot with nearly as much support when it is in a sandal as when it is in a closed shoe.
Activates the calf muscles, stabilises the back of the foot and improves gait and coordination.
The arch supports that run alongside the sides of the footbed surround the tarsal bones inside and out. This gives the foot the stability it needs when it takes a step.
The support that runs through the middle of the footbed stabilizes the metatarsal bone. In this way, the transverse arch support helps ensure that the foot has a naturally straight and solid stance.
There are raised indentations at the front of the footbed near the toes. Thanks to the toe grip the toes remain loose and spread out in their natural position. The indentations also support the natural rolling motion of the toes.
The footbed is drawn up especially high at the front. As a result, the high footbed edge protects the toes during the rolling motion of the foot.
