The Highwood Low by BIRKENSTOCK is a simple, elegant low shoe with laces that is immediately recognizable as a BIRKENSTOCK original thanks to the integrated cork element in the sole. The comfortable and light Deep Blue Footbed makes the shoe a perfect 24/7 all-rounder, especially on long and active days. Perfect for your next holiday, extensive walks, or city trips. The upper is made from extra thick, oiled nubuck leather with an open-selvage finish.

Oiled leather is one of our favourite types of leather. Its oily waxed surface makes for a unique colour effect and develops a beautiful patina. The oily finish of our natural leather products results in colour variation, making each and every pair unique.

Insole: Microfibre

Microfibre is a skin-friendly material which is soft and yet tear-resistant.

Footbed material: Polyurethane

Polyurethane (PU) is a flexible, water- and dirt-repellent synthetic material which makes footwear easy to care for.

Outsole: Rubber

Because of its high elasticity rubber is very well suited for outsoles. Thanks to this property it supports the natural rolling motion of the foot. Rubber is also very robust and has good cushioning.
