The Kay Super Grip offers all the advantages of BIRKENSTOCK’s classic Tokio and Boston models in one. The upper instep strap can be folded back if required, thus providing additional support as a backstrap. The Super Grip sole is nonslip, promotes the ideal rolling motion, and is also oil- and grease-resistant. The EVA midsole in the leather version has additional soft padding that reliably and permanently cushions the foot with every step – even if your feet are sensitive. This high degree of flexibility and sure-footedness is in great demand in particular in medical environments. All Super Grip soles are tested for slip resistance in accordance with EN ISO 20347:2012 and are rated in the top category (SRC).

The soft footbed has an integrated latex foam cushion. So it offers excellent comfort from day one.
Upper: Natural leather
Natural leather can be recognized by its untreated surface. BIRKENSTOCK purposely does not treat surface grains and other characteristic features. BIRKENSTOCK uses sturdy leather with a thickness of 2.8 to 3.2 millimeters as upper material.
Insole: Real Leather
The flexible leather lining, which is gentle on the skin, nestles up softly against your foot and adjusts to its contour. The open-pored and thus very breathable surface makes for a comfortable foot climate, even during more strenuous physical activity.
Footbed material: Cork
Cork is a sustainable material extracted from the bark layer of the cork oak. This natural product is insulating and offers very good cushioning.
The super-grip sole is comprised of two components: a nonslip, oil- and grease-resistant outsole made of rubber and a shock-absorbing midsole made of light, flexible EVA.
