The Mayari Design
the Mayari is a triple-strap sandal. Two narrow straps cross over at the toe section and form a loop for the big toe. These front straps can be adjusted to suit the shape of your foot using the fine metal buckle, so you can make sure the sandal fits perfectly around the front of the foot. A third strap on the instep provides maximum support when walking. The width of this strap can also be adjusted using a buckle.
What materials is the Mayari made of?
- Straps: The outer fabric is made of skin-friendly and durable Birko-Flor® synthetic material. The underside of the straps is covered with soft, breathable fleece, which makes it incredibly comfortable against the skin.
- Sole and footbed: Of course, the “Mayari” also has the anatomically shaped original BIRKENSTOCK cork-latex footbed. The sole is made of soft suede, which provides unrivalled BIRKENSTOCK comfort. The lightweight outsole is made of abrasion-resistant, highly flexible EVA plastic, which supports the natural rolling motion of the foot.
What variations and sizes is the Mayari available in?
This model is available in Birko-Flor® and in the Birko-Flor® Patent variation. The Mayari is available in classic black and natural brown tones, such as the Birko-Flor® version in nubuck mocha. This model is also available in light and summery tones, like white and silver. The Mayari is available in sizes 35–43. Some variations are even available up to size 46.
What kind of clothing does the Mayari go well with?
In contrast to the sportier and more classic Arizona model, the Mayari has a dainty, elegant look thanks to its filigree straps. This model can be worn in a sporty style with turned-up jeans, chinos or shorts, but also looks great with feminine outfits like maxi dresses or short skirts. With its toe loop, the Mayari is reminiscent of a Greek or Roman sandal, which makes it look great with tribal or boho looks.
